Abstract:
This dataset shows all county road rights of way that exist or have clearly existed. Research was done by combing commissioners journals, looking at GLO maps and old road district maps, and looking at subdivision plats and surveys. An attempt was also made in the 1970s to conduct a similar inventory, and this dataset builds on that research. There are several instances where old documentation is unclear about road geometry, and these roads have been omitted from the dataset. Data was collected in the winter of 2013 and spring of 2014.
